It is important that doctors (medical practitioners) and industry work collaboratively to improve the quality of, and access to, health care through the development of and access to new and improved therapeutic products, treatments and services.  

In 2018, the AMA released guidelines to assist doctors with understanding their responsibilities when working with industry.  

The AMA Guidelines on Doctors’ Relationships with Industry 2018 serves to assist you to appropriately identify and manage your working arrangements with industry.
