Sarcoidosis: a state of the art review from the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand
DescriptionSarcoidosis is a systemic granulomatous disease of unknown aetiology, primarily affecting the lungs and lymphatic systems, although any organ may be involved. The management of sarcoidosis can be challenging, despite new developments in diagnostic techniques and biological agents for treatment.
This review discusses the developments in the understanding of its pathology, diagnosis and management.
