Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip: Addressing evidence gaps with a multicentre prospective international study

Description

This review discusses the current state of evidence to guide screening and management of DDH. Highlighting emerging data from an international prospective study that aims to identify best practices and treatment outcomes for patients globally.

This narrative review is guided by a PubMed search of original and review articles along with clinical practice guidelines from the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and studies cited within.

 

Learning Outcomes

  1. Discuss the current state of screening, diagnostic and management practices in Developmental Dysplasia of the hip (DDH)
  2. Address important unanswered questions critically in identifying best practices and optimising patient outcomes
  3. Name relevant treatment and management options for DDH
